Onwards To A New Decade West End Esher is a progressive cricket club with a bright future and rich history. In 2008 we joined the Fullers League following a series of recent successes in both the Surrey Downs and Wey Valley Leagues. Success carried on with our first year in this new league with the 1st XI winning the 2nd Division title and the 2nd XI also gaining promotion to the top flight following a storming start to the season. Last year became a consolidation year for all three sides with none looking out of their depth in the new environment. The Firsts will be looking to turn draws into victories this year and begin a real push towards the Surrey Championship. The new decade also brings a new dawn for the club with the formation of a competitive Under 11 and under 14s side. Both teams have been entered into the Mid Surrey league with fixtures taking place Saturday mornings throughout the summer. West End operate three full teams on a Saturday afternoon as well as a more relaxed Sunday side, who play a series of friendly games throughout the summer against both local and touring sides. Last season's highlights included a match against the Rajistan Colts of India and Gordons CC from Australia. We also compete in a midweek Twenty20 league with a clutch of teams across Surrey. All our sides are always looking for new members to help drive them forward. Whatever your standard we will welcome you warmly and aim to have a team to suit you from the most competitive to the social player. We are a friendly club with an excellent social scene who organise events throughout the season culminating in the annual 'Party on the Pond' over the August Bank Holiday weekend. Our new clubhouse was opened at the start of the 2006 season and is the hub of activity in the village. A Look into the future - Club aims
